Butterflies and Rainbows

Butterflies and Rainbows
Promises, Promises, promises
Words given and deeds done
Promises, promises, promises
Some have happened, some to come.

Rainbows are promises
Still being kept,
By one whose promises
Are sure to never fail

Butterflies are promises, too.
Promises of life anew
Given to mercy accepted by few

Like the butterfly, whose old
Life was shed,
Men may have new life
When to sin, they are dead.

Rainbow and butterflies
Promise of freedom
To live life anew.
Promises to all men made
Promises by few men claimed

Why Women Would Love Being Santa Claus

1. You'd never be expected to make the coffee.

2. There'd be no more early morning decisions about what to wear to the office.

3. You could grow a gut the size of Fat Albert's and consider it a job requirement.

4. One big black belt - accessorized for life!

5. There'd be no reason to have your colors done.

6. Everyone would be extremely nice to you, even if you weren't.

7. Should people suggest your belly jiggled... that is when you giggled... like a bowlful of jelly, you could hit them with your purse.

8. You'd always work in sensible footwear.

9. There'd be no need to play office politics; a hearty 'Ho! Ho! Ho!', would remind everyone who's boss.

10. You wouldn't need an expensive briefcase.

11. No one would dare ask for a ride to work.

12. Never again have to wear pantyhose or worry about your slip showing.

13. No more trips to the vending machine... you'd just snack on milk and cookies all day.

14. You'd never be asked to take an early retirement package.

15. Juggling work and family would be a breeze because your children would adore you; even your teen-agers would want to sit in your lap.

16. You'd be guaranteed the best chair in the office.

17. Age discrimination wouldn't be an issue.

18. You'd never grab the wrong coat on your way out the door.

19. No one would ask to see your job description.

20. Your co-workers would be on notice that they'd better not pout.

Today, I was at the market and had a craving for some bananas. I walked to the produce isle. Finally found my bananas as i reached out to grab one a man in a banana suit came sprinting around the corner, and snatched the bananas out of my hands. He then proceeded to run away screaming "YOU CANT EAT MY CHILDREN!!" Banana man you have won this match..MLIA

Today as I was eating pancakes I read the back of a "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" container. The third ingredient was unsalted butter. I can't believe its not butter either anymore. MLIA

Today, My house had a blackout and I lost all power. When the power came back on my oven was flashing the word "HELP." Don't worry oven, I'm afraid of the dark aswell. MLIA

Christmas Shoes!!!

My Favorite song of the season!!!

Christmas Shoes

It was almost Christmas time, there I stood in another line
Tryin' to buy that last gift or two, not really in the Christmas mood
Standing right in front of me was a little boy waiting anxiously
Pacing 'round like little boys do
And in his hands he held a pair of shoes

His clothes were worn and old, he was dirty from head to toe
And when it came his time to pay
I couldn't believe what I heard him say

Chorus:
Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please
It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size
Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time
You see she's been sick for quite a while
And I know these shoes would make her smile
And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight

He counted pennies for what seemed like years
Then the cashier said, "Son, there's not enough here"
He searched his pockets frantically
Then he turned and he looked at me
He said Mama made Christmas good at our house
Though most years she just did without
Tell me Sir, what am I going to do,
Somehow I've got to buy her these Christmas shoes

So I laid the money down, I just had to help him out
I'll never forget the look on his face when he said
Mama's gonna look so great

Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please
It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size
Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time
You see she's been sick for quite a while
And I know these shoes would make her smile
And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight

Bridge:
I knew I'd caught a glimpse of heaven's love
As he thanked me and ran out
I knew that God had sent that little boy
To remind me just what Christmas is all about

HOLIDAY TIME !!!!!!

Sorry I have not posted lately.

Since I posted last I have made my first ever Thanksgiving dinner. That was fun especially since I love cooking!!! And we started listening to Christmas music. I LOVE Christmas music!!!! I love this time of year. Especially when it is freezing outside. My favorite group at Christmas time is

My mom went to the Ladies Progressive Dinner on Saturday and I went to serve. Then when we got home afterwords my dad had decided to paint the living room because we got a new computer desk. So my mom was happy when she got home cause he was supposed to paint for awhile now. LOL!!! It Look really nice in here now. Today we went Christmas shopping.Found a bunch of stuff we wanted.

Grandma's House and Early Birthday

So I decided to go visit my grandma a couple weeks back. I caught a plane and came here and now, I am so ready to go home. I miss everybody: My Mommy,My Daddy,My Jessi and My Justin. I miss all my friends. And I miss my Annabelle, my doggie. lol!! So I fly home tomorrow and am I ever ready? Yes I am !!!!!!!

I have done a little bit of nothing while I have been here!! Just read and read and hmmm ... oh that is right... read. lol! I went walking a lot to Una Mas, which is a little Mexican place, and In and Out, which is around the corner, and this other place that has really good food. I did a lot of swimming, which is quite a lot of fun. I went to Ikea. That was fun and Mom, guess what? I went on the escalator!!!

Then last night we had a "Birthday Party" for ME!!! It is almost my birthday, MOM, and don't try and deny it. =;) Your baby, Your firstborn is turning (drum roll please) 15. Almost old enough to almost drive; only 6 months till I can get my permit! =;) Well, back to the party. We had pizza and wine cake, don't worry it all cooks out. I got a Samsung Q2 MP3 player. It is pretty cool !!! My Aunt Sharon gave me a fifteen dollar Jamba Juice card !! SO, that is pretty much what I did last night!!
